We are so pleased to announce that Niamh’s Lesbian Pirate Adventure, Escape To Pirate Island has now reached 100 ratings on Amazon.com (well 101 now but who’s counting?!?). What an achievement!
Not only is this an incredible milestone that just sounds pretty damn cool, but it is also so useful for Niamh to read your reviews as a way of finding out what her readers are loving, what your feedback is and to get a completely new perspective to the story.
We would like to send a big ‘THANK YOU’ to anyone who has taken the time to write a review or leave a rating for Escape To Pirate Island.
Not only is this a huge milestone for Niamh, but I’ll be honest: not many books in the lesbian fiction category get to even 20 reviews. There are a lot of reasons people don’t want to or are unable to leave reviews on a book categorised as lesbian fiction. There are also a tiny number of people who seem to enjoy taking the time to leave bad reviews on books on this category simply because they are LGBT.
So any review left on a WLW book is a bit of a power move and a small act of rebellion in world where these books are still illegal in some countries. Plus the nice ones give me a warm and fuzzy feeling!
